We’ve built the hold - archive to make styling and rentals as smooth and transparent as possible. These terms are here to keep things clear and fair for everyone.
The hold - archive provides rental services exclusively to professional clients, including stylists, production companies, agencies and other professional users.
These Terms & Conditions apply to all rentals and services provided by the hold - archive. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Booking & Contract
A rental request is not a confirmed booking until availability has been checked and confirmed by the hold - archive in writing. A booking becomes binding once confirmed by us.
Please submit rental requests at least 3 working days in advance to ensure availability.
Requests made at shorter notice are subject to availability and may require individual arrangements.

2. Use of Items
All items must be used with care and only for their intended purpose.
Items may not be altered, modified, or passed on to third parties without prior approval.
You are responsible for proper handling, transport, and storage.
All items must be returned in the condition in which they were received, allowing for reasonable wear from the agreed use.
Any damage beyond reasonable wear must be reported immediately.

3. Rental Period
The rental period begins on the agreed rental start date and ends on the agreed return date. For shipped orders, shipping and return transit times are coordinated separately and do not reduce the agreed rental period.
Rental duration is selected at booking and determines the total rental fee.
Collection and returns are arranged individually according to the project.

4. Responsibility & Liability
The renter is responsible for the items from the agreed handover until their return to the hold - archive.
The hold - archive does not provide insurance for rented items. The renter is responsible for arranging appropriate insurance where required.
In case of damage, the renter is responsible for reasonable cleaning or repair costs where applicable. If an item is lost or cannot be repaired, the renter is responsible for its full replacement value.
The replacement value corresponds to the current value required to replace the item with an equivalent piece.
Normal wear resulting from the agreed use is not considered damage.
Please check all items immediately upon receipt and notify us of any issues right away. Otherwise, items are considered accepted in good condition.

5. Usage Rights
Rental of an item does not grant any intellectual property, reproduction or other usage rights relating to the item or any associated designs, artworks or trademarks. Where such rights are relevant, the renter is responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions.

6. Transport
Items are collected from our location unless otherwise agreed.
Transport and shipping costs are the responsibility of the renter.
Shipping can be arranged upon request and at the renter’s cost.
For shipped orders, the renter is responsible for the items during transport once they have been handed over to the carrier, subject to applicable law.

7. Payments
Invoices are issued after the rental period and are payable within 14 days of receipt.
Rental fees are calculated based on the selected rental period. The weekly rate is based on 20% of the item’s value. Longer rental periods are calculated according to the pricing structure shown at the time of booking.
Test shoots are charged at a reduced rate of 10% of the item’s value.
If payment is not received by the due date, the renter may be considered in default in accordance with applicable law.
In case of late payment, we reserve the right to charge statutory default interest and any applicable costs.
Confirmed rentals that are cancelled at short notice or not collected may be subject to cancellation charges, depending on the circumstances and whether the items can be re-rented.
Additional charges may apply for late returns and any cleaning or repair costs incurred.

8. General
These Terms are governed by German law.
For business customers, Hamburg shall be the place of jurisdiction, to the extent legally permissible.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
